Named Accountable GP

From 1st April 2015 onwards Practices are required, under the General Medical
Services Contract, to allocate a named accountable GP to all patients, including children.

This GP is responsible for the patients’ overall care. However, patients can still book
appointments or telephone consultations with any GP in the practice.

Should you wish to change your named GP we will do our best to accommodate this.

At Thorney Medical Practice the name of your allocated GP is your
registered GP, either Dr Richards, Dr Houghton or Dr Pearson.

You can also find the name of your allocated GP
on your repeat prescription request slip.

If you are unsure who your allocated GP is please ask at reception.

NHS 111 Service
All out of hours care should be
accessed via the new 111 service.

This number will be answered by trained call handlers who
direct you to the most appropriate and suitable service.

Click here for more information about 111.

All online users can now view your medical records online.

If you already have a user name and password and you wish to view your records

to view your records, together with booking appointments and requesting repeat
prescriptions, please ask at reception for an online request form.

you when you return the completed form.

Travel Advice
To make the process of getting your holiday and travel vaccinations easier,
you can now download a request form here. This can then be returned to the

arrange to give them to you in good time.
